Carl Sagan Stella Asia Consonni, photographer based in London and Milan, has got an almost child-like fascination for everyday objects, their working and how they relate to us in the most basic tasks of our life. An apple, a lid, a tangerine certainly holds a greater influence on human beings than the trajectory of the Sun. These objects and the subtle threads which coexist betweeen them -the space they occupy- create their own universe, the one that really matters to us. Even if science has taken most of the mystery out of the Universe, we can still uncover the hidden reality of everyday life, like children looking at the sky for the first time. Stella Asia Consonni manages to do so by creating analogic images in a colour darkroom with a camera-less techniques called photogram and luminogram. Celestica maps a unique and evocative universe, risen from hyper-reality and unravelled all around us.
