Thomas Canna is an Italian percussionist, improviser and composer based in Bern, Switzerland.

His music has developed through the concept of resonance as interrelationship between state and event since 2021, understood both as sound acoustic vibration and physical action/movement gradually drawing him closer to practices of Deep Listening and inner observation.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Drums and Percussion in 2022 from Siena Jazz University under the mentorship Marco Colonna,Alessandro Giachero and Alessandro Paternesi.

Since 2023 he is a Master of Arts student in the Jazz & Contemporary Music Performance department of the Hochschule der Künste Bern having Stefan Schultze, Jim Black and Biliana Voutchkova as his main tutors.
