Sara Bonaventura (Treviso, 1982) is art historian and visual artist, with a MA degree in contemporary art and diverse experiences of didactics, curatorial assistance, pr, cataloguing and archive. She worked in several Museums and Cultural Institutions (Venice Biennale, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Giorgio Cini Foundation, Thyssen Bornemisza Art Contemporary, Berlin Kicken Gallery, Reggio Emilia City Museums...), as atelierista in schools and at the Ray of Light Atelier and in Urban Ateliers based on the so called "Reggio Emilia Approach". 

As independent videomaker she has been collaborating with performers and musicians, such as Carla Bozulich and Constellation Records, vjing, directing clips and unconventional adv. Her works have been screened in Italy and abroad; just recently, at the Anthology Film Archives (NewFilmmakers NY series) and at Other Cinema, in San Francisco ATA Gallery. She won the Veneto Region Award at the 10th Lago Film Fest.

Recent group exhibition at Transart Triennale, Spacebodies, at Berlin Ufer Studios and Salonukah at Brooklyn Trestle Gallery. Recently selected for a couple of art residencies, in Kasterlee, Belgium at Frans Masereel Centrum and in Santander, Spain, at Fundacion Botin with Joan Jonas as a mentor.
