Postcard from Anthropocene

Postcard from the Anthropocene is a video-performative work created on the Cona Island in front of the Fincantieri shipyard complex. A man stands still trying to recycle his breath. The horizontal dimension inhibits the mind and weakens reflexes: aseptic and distant from the Nature to which it belongs, it suffers the constricting condition of the dystopian times to come, preventing a real and sincere contact with the outside world. Not just ecological pollution: the drama is internal and personal. The soul and the collective conscience have fallen ill, weighed down by toxic fumes and heavy metals from factories and the era of profit. An existential, social and political denunciation, where politics means concerning all of us, one by one.
